The journey of the United Democratic Movement
The United Democratic Movement was born out of a shared conviction among Kenyans that the country deserved a new kind of politics — one rooted in integrity, service, and genuine concern for the welfare of ordinary citizens.
UDM was officially registered as a political party under the Political Parties Act. A group of visionary leaders from across Kenya came together to form a movement focused on unity, democracy, and development.
The party began establishing structures at the county, constituency, and ward levels. Community engagement forums were held across multiple counties to listen to the concerns of ordinary Kenyans.
UDM launched a nationwide digital membership registration system, making it easy for Kenyans to join the party from anywhere. The party also hosted its first Youth Empowerment Summit.
UDM continues to grow, with a focus on fielding candidates in upcoming elections, building coalitions for change, and delivering on the promise of prosperity for all Kenyans.
